PEMF Therapy
PEMF, or pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, is a treatment that uses the naturally occurring electromagnetic field to improve cellular development and recovery.
It’s been FDA approved for use on humans since 2007 and has been extremely effective, so as human and equine cells are nearly identical it’s now being used on horses and other mammals as an excellent method of:
Reducing inflammation, swelling and stiffness
Easing sore muscles
Speeding the healing of soft tissues and bruising
Reducing hoof abscesses
Reducing colic symptoms & discomfort
Increasing range & ease of movement
Stimulating circulation & lymph drainage
PEMF Therapy sends a low-energy electrical current to a specific area of a horse’s body. It’s non-invasive, does not require sedation or other drugs and the pulse goes bone deep, so it may also help reduce the time fractures take to heal.
Contra indications include pacemaker and cochlear implants, metal surgical mesh, pregnancy.
Equine CranioSacral
(ECS) work is a holistic healing practice which uses extremely light finger pressure to optimize body movement. When applied correctly, this gentle and subtle technique can be highly effective in addressing a number of conditions in the horse, Including:

Somassage Neuro Muscular work
This is a specialised form of bodywork to realign the entire body and improve posture. It releases tension, increases flexibility, promotes relaxed energy, enhances performance and promotes holistic health and wellbeing. It is not just a technique, but a whole system of structural analysis, directional myofascial release and applied body mechanics.
MFR Trigger Point Therapies/Myofacial Release
These are manual therapies for treatment of intense soft tissue or muscle pain or for lost flexibility or function following an injury or through ongoing pain. It works for virtually any area of the body that has soft tissue. Utilising trigger points and acupressure points to help reduce soft tissue soreness, joint stiffness, irritation & inflammation.
It aims to stretch, loosen and lengthen the muscle and soft tissue (fascia) that may have been disrupting blood vessels or nerves, allowing it to move more freely. This in turn allows blood to flow through it and releases any nerve impediment. Successful treatment will see the restoration of full pain-free range of motion along the affected muscle.
Scar Tissue Work
Focusing on increasing mobility and health of the scar tissue and surrounding area around it. Ideal for injuries including all types of burns, post-surgery or injury scars. Using combination of Rejuvanessance®, SNI® and Myofascial Induction Therapy & Craniosacral for nearly pain free soft tissue mobilising & manipulation to improve functional outcomes. Often even large areas of scar can be substantially improved in a few sessions.
Reiki

Energy healing targets the energy fields around the body. Energy medicine aims to help the flow of energy and remove blocks in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure.
Improving the flow of energy around the body, can enable relaxation, reduce pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of illness. It can be hands on or hands off and combines well with any other treatment techniques.
Reiki has been around for thousands of years; this is an ancient form of energy healing practiced by the Lammas of Norbu Linga of Tibet.
